I am back from Spring Break, well on my way back. I am
typing while we are driving this long 12 hours with 3 kids. Ahhh, are we ever
going to get home. But I am sorry I didn’t post while I was gone we were busy
from the time we woke up till bed time. So let’s get back to our everyday
devotions.

Experiencing Silence

Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

The world seems to grow louder day by day, and our senses
seem to be invaded at every turn. If we allow our distractions to separate us
from God’s peace, we do ourselves a disservice. Our task, as believers, is to
carve out moments of silence in a world filled with noise.
If we maintain righteous minds and compassionate hearts, we
must take time each day for prayer and for meditation. We must make ourselves
still in the presence of our Lord. We need to quiet our minds and our hearts so
that we might sense God’s will and His love.

Has our busy lives gotten in the way of our peace that the
Lord had promised us? If so, it’s time to get our priorities right. As we try
to balance our daily to–do list; remember that nothing is more important than
the time we spend with our heavenly Father. So be still and claim the peace
that is found in the silent moments that you spend with God.

I am still trying to work out what a good time is for my quiet time. I would like to have that
time in the mornings but haven’t made myself get up early enough to do that. I
also want to set down and make a weekly or monthly chart of what my studies
would be about. Maybe set a schedule for my quiet time and that would make it
go smoother. I am also working on a better family bible time that keeps my kids
interested. I have found some ideas and I will share them in the next few days.
When we meet next I hope to work on the homeless bags that we talked about. So
with all that info let’s end in a prayer.

Dear Lord, help me remember the importance of my quiet time
with you. Help me discover quiet moments throughout my day so that I may sense
your presence and your love. Amen

THE ULTIMATE CHOICE

God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Challenging your faith...God offers you a eternal life...accept it today

Eternal life is not an event that begins when you die. It begins when you invite Jesus into your heart right here on earth. So its important to remember God's plans for us is not limited to the ups and downs of everyday life. If you will allow Jesus to reign over your heart, you have already begun your eternal journey.

Let us praise the Creator for His priceless gift, and let us hare the good news with all that cross our paths. We return our Fathers love by accepting his grace and by sharing his message and love. Are you afraid to share God's word with other? Are you scared what they may say or think? Are you afraid they might ask a question that you cant answer. If you are like me these question go through my head all the time. So I thought of a few ways to share God's love. It might be small things but a good step in the right direction.

*carry small bibles or books to hand out
*help someone in the store with reaching an item or unloading the bags in their car
*homeless bags (which we are going to do)
*if someone holds the door for you say GOD BLESS YOU

It is like the commercial were it shows others helping others with different things. We should show everyone God's love. So as I type this I remember that this afternoon I got very upset with someone that was driving that didn't let me over and then was driving crazy. Instead of yelling at them I should have shown God's love and prayed for them. Plus the 4 kids that were with me would have seen how I acted and that would have been a good lesson for them. So what are some was we could show God's love as a group?

Prayer for today:
Lord I know that is world is not my home, I am only here for awhile. You have given me the priceless gift of eternal life through your Son. Keep my heart joyful with your love and help me to show that to others in all I do. For give me for actions that may not have been pleasing to you. Help me to pass through it with faith in my heart and praise on my lips. amen

TRUSTING GODS WILL

GOD IS MY SHIELD, SAVING THOSE WHOSE HEARTS ARE TRUE AND RIGHT.
PSALM 7:10

Always remember this: When God;s will becomes your will, good things will happen.
God has will, and so do we. He gave us the power to make choices for ourselves, and He created a world in which those choices have consequences. the ultimate choice that we face is choosing Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.

We face hundreds of small choices in our daily life's. When we align those choices with God's commandments, and we align our lives with God's will, we receive His abundance, His peace, and His joy. Today as you face your hundreds of choices for the day, remember to use God's Word as your guide. And for your ultimate choice place God's Son and God's will and God's love at the center of your life. You will discover that God's plan for far greater than you could ever have imagined.

The will of God is never exactly what you expect it to be. It may seem much worse, but in the end its going to be a lot better and a lot bigger.

Prayer for today:
Lord, let your will be my will. when i am confused, give me strength and wisdom. when I am worried, give me courage and strength. Let me be your faithful servant, always seeking your guidance and your will for my life. Amen

Have a Regular Appointment with GOD

But have nothing to do with irreverent and silly myths. Rather, train yourself in godliness.
1 Timothy 4:7

We need to try to have a regular appointment with God everyday. God is ready to talk with you and we should prepare ourselves each morning to talk with him. I know this is something that I struggle with, but I have set a goal to a morning devotion. If not morning while my kids are napping. First step is to set a goal for when and try to keep it.

Each day is a gift from God, and if we are wise we can spend a few moments of our busy day thanking our Giver. When we begin each day with our heads bowed and out hearts lifted, we remind ourselves of God's LOVE, HIS PROTECTION, AND HIS COMMANDMENTS. Are we seeking to change some parts of our life? Are we searching for contentment and peace? Is so, ask the Lord for help and ask it many times a day...starting with our devotional.

I suggest you discipline yourself to spend time daily in reading of God's word. Make this a quiet time and a priority that nobody can change. -Charles Stanley-

A PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Dear Lord, everyday is my life is a journey with you. I will take time today to think, pray, and study your word. Guide me in my steps with you and keep me mindful that today offers more opportunity to celebrate your blessings, love, and your Son. Amen

LASTING PEACE

Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. @ Corn. 13:11
Have you found the lasting peace that can and should be yours through Christ Jesus? Or are you still chasing the illusion of peace and happiness that the world promises but cannot deliver. The words of John 14:27 promise that Jesus offers peace, not as the world gives, but as He alone gives. The challenge is to accepts Christs peace in your heart so you can share it with others. But sometimes that is easier said than done with how busy our lives are and that we worry. We worry about safety, money, home, family, and the list can go on and on. Some worries are great and some are small. Where is the best place to take your worries? Take them to God...and leave them there. Today as a gift to yourself, to your family, and to your friends, claim the peace that is from Christ Jesus. Christ is waiting patiently for him to reign over our hearts.
The fruit of our placing all things in God's hands is the presence of His abiding peace in our hearts. --Hannah Whitall Smith--
Prayer: Dear Lord , let me accept the peace that you offer through your son. You are the giver of all things and you give me peace. Help me to trust your will, to follow you and accept your peace today and forever. Help me not to worry about things big or small. Let me take all things to you and leave them there. Amen
DAY 1 OF THE 30 DAY MARRIAGE CHALLENGE:
Ask, "What can I help you with today?"
Welcome to our new blog for our Titus 2 group. I thought this would be a neat way to post a daily devotion for our group. Remember anyone can see this so if you have personal prayer request than we need to either call or email. This month I thought we would do a 30 day marriage challenge that I saw a friend post on facebook. Also I will post a devotion everyday. I thought the 30 day marriage challenge is a cool way to show our husbands some special attention. So that will start tomorrow on April 1st. Let me know if you like the blog idea.
